Nathan Santiaguel's Medical Relief Fund

Nathan Santiaguel has been an integral part of Casiana Fitness, d.b.a. Blink Fitness, since the company’s inception in 2019. Although it is true that Nathan’s positive impact on business has been superb, it is the quality of his character that chiefly compels me to write this request to you. All who have met him can attest to Nathan’s profound personable nature by the close connections he develops with people around him. He is a much-loved son, brother and friend who goes above and beyond for everyone in his life.

On December 31st, Nathan began having severe shortness of breath. Fearing the symptoms were an advanced infection of COVID-19, a visit to the hospital emergency department followed. Imagine the surprise when the emergency room doctors informed Nathan that he was having a heart attack at the young age of 44! They immediately admitted him into the ICU where several days of testing and scanning ensued. Open heart surgery was scheduled on Tuesday, January 11th after the discovery of one completely and four partially blocked arteries. A successful surgery answered our prayers and well wishes. Nathan is currently wearing a LifeVest, which is a personal defibrillator worn by patients at risk for sudden cardiac arrest. He will be recovering for the next couple of months.

The hospitalization and surgery have created medical bills of $120,000. With this GoFundMe page, we’re hoping to raise the much needed funds to help pay for his medical bills.
