Help Nathan Owens Film His First Comedy Special

My name is Nathan Owens, and next year will be 10 years since I first stepped on stage to perform stand up comedy. After I bombed for the first few years, against all logic, I decided I would never quit comedy. When you're a standup, you tend to have some big dreams and goals for your career, and one of these is your first special. I've decided now is the time for me to pursue that dream. Instead of waiting for my seat at the table, I've decided to get some help to build my own chair. The goal of this isn't to make money on my special but to complete a career goal, putting together a body of work that shows what I've been creating for the past decade and building a bridge to whatever the next chapter in my career will be. I have a venue ready to help me book a date and local production company Urbana Ave lined up to create it with me, so now, all I'm missing is the financial side. The nice thing about stand up is that it's relatively cheap. It's a person, a microphone, jokes, and an audience. My wife and I have been planning for this and have been setting aside money for this project on our own, and we currently find ourselves about $3k short, so if I can just find 300 people to give $10 each, we've got it covered.
