My name is Nathan Nzanga, and I’m a 27-year-old storyteller from Shoreline, Washington, born to two Congolese immigrant parents. I believe in the power of love, music, and storytelling to heal, connect, and transform lives. This November 30th, I’m running my first marathon, the Seattle Marathon, not just for the finish line, but for a future artist who deserves a chance to be seen, heard, and empowered.

In the summer of 2016, I got a life-altering opportunity when I was granted a scholarship to go to Prodigy Camp. I arrived as a teenager looking to find my purpose and left with a community, a voice, and a mission. It is here that I learned about the imperative nature of storytelling. Storytelling is a tool for survival and a bridge that unifies the masses and magnifies the unheard.

This upcoming summer will mark my 10th summer returning to camp, mentoring young artists and helping them turn their personal stories into powerful art. Music and storytelling has sparked a fire in me, and I view this marathon as an opportunity to raise the funds to pass the torch.

Prodigy Camp is a weeklong intensive for the world’s most promising young filmmakers, songwriters, and entrepreneurs. It’s a place where stories are born, refined, and shared. Campers leave with a short film, a professionally recorded song, or a polished pitch. Most importantly, they leave with confidence, clarity, and a community that believes in them.

Too many young artists are held back by financial barriers. That’s why I’m running this marathon: to raise funds for a full scholarship for one young artist to attend Prodigy Camp. I call it the DestiNathan Scholarship, because it’s about helping someone reach their destination, just like I was helped to reach mine. Donations beyond the goal will provide financial assistance towards transportation to/from camp. Let's make DestiNathan a global impact!

Every donation, no matter the size, helps build a world where creativity isn’t limited by cost. Where stories from every background can be told, heard, and celebrated.

If you want to follow my journey (see me train, hear the music I make along the way, and meet the artist your support will uplift) you can find me on Instagram at @naytropolis.
