Nathan Muniz

My name is Mardon Hickford and I'm fundraising for Nathan Muniz. Nathan is a long-time cancer warrior and placed on hospice. He was diagnosed as a toddler and is now 16 years old - cancer, treatments, and traveling between his home in Laredo and Texas Children's Hospital in Houston is all he's ever known. He loves music... plays the french horn and has been learning the piano. He excels in science and hoped to work in cancer research someday. Our son, Jake, and Nathan were both Neuroblastoma patients and we became close friends with Nathan and his mom; with the boys spending so many days hooked up to poles, sitting shoulder-to-shoulder on ipads, and finding moments of playfulness within the walls of the infusion rooms and the 9th floor of TCH. Nathan's strength is like no other... time and time again, the cancer has been pushed back, only for it to explode in his body. He is now days from meeting Jesus and Margarita has been told to prepare for funeral expenses. Nothing prepares a parent to make these kinds of final plans; all hopes, plans and money goes to keeping your child alive, not planning for the unthinkable. Please help us assist Nathan's mom with funeral arrangement costs. And please pray with us... God's mercy over Nathan and His peace over his mom.
