Nathan Jones passed away on December 10, 2018, in Chicago, Illinois. He was 40 years old.
Nathan was born August 2, 1978 in Denver, Colorado. He was a graduate of Mercer Island High School, the University of Washington and the University of San Diego School of Law. Nathan spent most of his successful career in the title insurance industry as an attorney and underwriter. He had a reputation among his colleagues as a hard working professional and a gentleman.
Nathan will be remembered by his friends and family as kind, fun loving, and good natured. He was quick to strike up a conversation with friends and newcomers alike and always made everyone around him feel welcomed. He had great sense of humor and a contagious laugh.
Nathan also loved music. He attending concerts as often as he could. During his school years he played the saxophone and later taught himself the guitar and piano. He was in his element playing music and writing songs.
Nathan also excelled athletically. He played soccer from age 5 on through adulthood and also enjoyed tennis, running, skiing and snowboarding.
Nathan loved many people, but none more than his son, Oliver. They enjoyed playing and watching sports, building things together, racing RC cars, going to the beach and on hikes with their dog Huckleberry, and just playing together.
We will all miss Nathan, but none more than Oliver. To honor Nathan’s memory and love for his son, the Nathan Jones Memorial Trust Fund has been established to provide Oliver with support for education and pursuing his life goals. Please help support Oliver by donating to the Fund.
