Davison Family Love Offering

Donation protected
On October 12th, 2021, 18-year-old Nathan Elijah Davison of Naples, Florida, was senselessly and tragically killed. The only son of widely loved and respected Naples school teachers Coach Ben and Amanda Davison, “Nate,” as he was affectionately called, had a bright future ahead of him and a heart for Jesus.

Everyday life stands still in the wake of such a tragic event, and this is when community must become the hands and feet of Jesus. To help ease the financial obligations that will come with memorializing their beautiful boy and to meet their everyday needs as they struggle with such a devastating loss, friends and colleagues of the Davisons have organized this Go Fund Me campaign--an expression of gratitude for the immeasurable investment the couple have made in countless children and athletes’ lives.

Love offerings (non tax-deductible) can be made here through Go Fund Me or via check made payable to Naples Christian Academy with Davison Family Charitable Fund/checking account #1173038 in the memo and dropped off at any First Florida Integrity Bank branch.

Nate attended Naples Christian Academy through eighth grade and the Davisons devoted more than two decades of their teaching careers to the long-standing private school. The fund is being financially administered by Rachel Haughey, a representative of Naples Christian Academy.

The Davisons’ love for children and teaching continues this year with Amanda teaching middle/high school children with learning differences at Educational Pathways Academy and Ben serving on the teaching and athletic staff of the new Naples Classical Academy charter school as well as resuming his lengthy coaching career with Florida Gulfside Volleyball.

As committed as they have been to teaching and coaching young people all their lives, the Davisons have also been passionately devoted to their roles as parents to Nate and their daughter Elizabeth “Liz.” The Davisons are a family of deep faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who have every confidence that their beloved son and brother are in the arms of Jesus, but they are in unimaginable anguish over the tremendous void Nate’s untimely death has left in their lives.

Amanda’s verse for her sweet Nate has always been: “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6 (NLT)

Amanda’s prayer: “Let it be. Yes, Lord. I believe. I believe.”
