Nathan Elenbaas' Medical Expense Fund

Donation protected
On Saturday, September 2, 2023, Nathan, 23 years old, was up north with family celebrating the holiday weekend. While up north Nathan suffered a spinal cord injury. He was diving off the family's dock at the cottage, like he has done a thousand times before, but this time hit his head on the bottom of the lake, injuring his C7 vertebrae. He was airlifted to a level one trauma hospital in Saginaw, had surgery and is currently stable in the ICU. The injury resulted in him being paralyzed from the chest down. While the doctors are not giving us a lot of hope that Nathan will walk again, we know that Nathan is young, strong and healthy and if there is a way to walk again, he will find it.

As we all know, asking for help is not easy, but Nathan needs it at this time. Even with insurance, the cost of Nathan's current and future care is overwhelming. If you are able to support in any capacity in this time of need, it would be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to support monetarily, please send prayers and pass this along.

Your kind donations will be contributed to a special needs trust overseen by the Elenbaas family.
