Nathan Allen Blevins (funeral expenses)

On November 6, 2023 at 11:18 pm our family’s lives were tragically, forever changed.

Nathan Allen Blevins, 39 of Elkton, MD was a pedestrian on Red Hill Road, last night when he was struck by a car, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Nathan, leaves behind two children. Hannah Blevins and Nathan Blevins Jr. His Mother, Vickie Lynn Blevins, Brother, Kerry Dale Blevins Jr. two sisters, Stacie Marie Rhoades and Sonya Dee Blevins, all of Elkton. Several nieces and nephews, and six great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Kerry Dale Blevins Sr, also of Elkton.

Nathan did not have life insurance. The finances are simply not available at this time, to make arrangements for Nathan. He is currently at the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore, Maryland where time is ticking to get him picked up. Our family was given 72 hours to make arrangements because they can not hold him beyond this time frame. We are approaching just 48 hours to come up with the funds to have him picked up from the MEO in Baltimore. We are asking for help with final expenses from our community, family and friends. We understand this is a huge financial request but, we are hopeful that our community can help bring him home.

If we do not come up with the total costs, anyone who donates will be fully refunded by me personally. (Please make sure your generous donations are not anonymous, in case I need to refund you.) The only other option is to let the state of Maryland take possession of his remains, where he would be cremated and buried in a state cemetery where his children and Mother would never have a place to feel as close as they possibly can to their Dad/son.

My prayer and hope is that together, we can bring Nathan home and lay Nathan to rest with his family and loved ones near.
