With shattered hearts, the Empey and Bennett families are grieving the sudden and tragic loss of Nathan Alexander Murray Empey, who passed away in a car accident on Friday, December 19th, just days before Christmas. Nathan was only 19 years old.
Nathan was a deeply caring and selfless young man. He cherished his friends and family and consistently put the happiness and wellbeing of others before his own. He loved basketball, billiards, video games, and woodworking, and he was beginning to explore future career paths in welding and carpentry. Nathan was proud of his work as a bar assistant at Jack’s in downtown London, Ontario, and he had recently joined the G&G Enterprise Fall Pool League, where he brought youthful enthusiasm and renewed energy to his team, Those Guys. His presence made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Nathan leaves behind his parents, Melissa Bennett (AJ Maxwell) and Frederick Empey (Courtney Empey); siblings Dakota Bennett, Nicholas Bennett, and Maverick Williams-Empey; grandparents, extended family, and many friends who loved him dearly. The hole left by his passing is profound and immeasurable.
I am a close friend of Melissa and AJ, and with their blessing, I have created this fundraiser to help support the family during this unimaginable time. The funds raised will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, lost income due to time away from work, and other immediate and ongoing needs as they try to navigate life in the aftermath of this devastating loss.
No family should have to worry about financial burdens while grieving their child. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease some of the pressure and allow the family space to mourn, remember Nathan, and begin to move forward with this new and painful reality. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is also deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
