Nathalie's 60th birthday, in memory of Viggo

Instead of asking for a gift to Nathalie, Nathalie wants to plant a foodforest in memory of Viggo at the farm of Coralie & Carlo.

Coralie & Carlo are developing a farm (The Green Rebel)  with many different trees on their 16ha to increase biodiversity, improve soil life and fight climate change. A foodforest is an abundant forest that produces a lot of different foods without many external inputs to thrive. 

 

Below is a beautiful video from an inspirational food forest that applies the same methods that The Green Rebel is aiming to do. 



With your contribution we will be able to plant a large diversity of edible trees that have a positive legacy for many generations to come Viggo's foodforest. Some of the trees that we will plant are fitting well in our Mediterranean climate are: pomegranate, fig, a variety of citrus, walnut, almond, plum, apricots, olives, cherry, pistachio, hazelnut, pear, apple etc. We will also plant bushes such as herbs like lavender, rosemary, thyme, sage and support species to attract pollinators and to improve soil life. 

Just to give you an idea, to plant and nurture 1 tree to maturity, the costs are around EUR 10 - 15 to give the tree a lot of love and care. This depends on the type of tree, where fruit & nut trees are more expensive. 

 

For donations above EUR 50 donated to Viggo's foodforest, we will place your name  by your adopted trees.
