Nate is a 28 year old with a beautiful wife, Kristin, and an adorable baby boy, Wade (born October, 2015). Nate graduated from nursing school at Boise State University, December 2015. For all intents and purposes, this little family was on the road to a nearly "perfect" life.

That is, until Nate was diagnosed with stage 3A testicular cancer, that has since spread to his lungs. Nate will now be undergoing chemotherapy treatment over the next 3 months. He currently works at Saint Luke's as a CAP in the surgical intensive care unit; and once he passes his NCLEX exam, he will start working as a RN in the same unit. Nate previously had been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, and will now have to switch his treatment plan as a result of the cancer.

With this unexpected diagnosis, Nate has missed a lot of work due to many appointments and surgeries, and will be missing much more with the upcoming chemotherapy treatments. Nate, Kristin and Wade have been mostly living on Kristin's income alone. Kristin is a preschool teacher at Saint Alphonsus Early Learning Center, and unfortunately does not make enough to support a family of three. Kristin is a beloved teacher at the ELC, and the children and parents she works with on a daily basis absolutely love her!

This is a sweet family that has had their world rocked. In the words of Kristin, she "never thought this would be her life." Any and all donations will help tremendously with easing the financial burdens to come, and will assist in allowing Nate and Kristin to be able to focus on their long journey ahead in beating Nate's cancer.
