Love & Support for Nate! 

In late 2014, Nate was diagnosed with stage 3 Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It is the same cancer he had as a child. He fought for his life before, and went through hell. He will begin treatment this week. It may be a tough road ahead but he will not be doing it without love and support from all of us. Amiright? Who's with me?!


While I hope this page will provide the relief needed until Nate is 100% cancer free, it is equally important for this page to serve as a reminder to Nate, Nicky and Curran that they have an army of supporters and well-wishers who will send loving, positive thoughts and prayers their way. We are all behind you, Nate!

Who Is This Dude I Speak Of? 
A girl can only hope her best friend in the world marries a good man. Nate is even better than that. He's madly in love with his life and wife of over a decade (and friend to SO many of us all), Nicky, and their growing-before-our-eyes teenage (!) son, Curran. Nicky and Nate recently renewed their vows in the most heart warming, hilarious and adventuresome way. You will have to ask them to share this story with you. And the vows, make sure you read those too!

Nate is a guy's guy who can hang with the chick's, too. He's the dude who rearranges his schedule at the last minute to help erryone with car problems. He is the master of home projects (his and yours!), loves to laugh and dances as if no one is watching. I once asked him to drive me around a cemetery at midnight to look for ghosts. He obliged, of course.  He'll help any man, any time. He'll even laugh at your jokes when no one else will.  


He is a grounded family man who gives everything of himself to those who mean so much to him - his family, friends and even his friend's friends. Nate is also a very proud father whose love for Curran motivates him to be the best he can be. He leads by example and loves unconditionally. Nate works as hard as he does so that he can play hard with Curran, his best mate.


A little goes a long way!
This page was created to provide some financial relief to this deserving family so they will be able to focus 100% of their energy on Nate. It's vital for Nate to stay positive, and stress free. It would be a shame for either of them to have to worry about his reduced income or any of life's inevitable, unforeseen expenses.

With hearts filled with gratitude, Nicky and Nate have both blessed this page and Nicky, Colleen and I will be managing/updating as Nate has news to share.

A Night for Nate!
If you are going to be in Grand Rapids on March 28, please swing by the Casino Club to support Nate, Nicky and Curran! Nicky's mom, Barb, has put together one heck of a party. There will be food, drinks, a silent auction (so many awesome themed gift baskets to bid on), a 50/50 rafffle,  opportunities to win prizes and a lot of friends and family to catch up with! We hope to see you there!
