Unfortunately due to Covid-19, the annual Nate Ferraco Memorial soccer tournament was not able to take place this summer. I created this campaign in order to raise money for a fund that means a lot to not only me, but so many others. The Nate Ferraco Memorial Fund gives scholarships and donations to teams, clubs, organizations that Nate was a part of and very passionate about. Also, permanent benches have been and continue to be placed at parks, trails, and schools in memory of Nate.

          For those of you who did not know Nate, he tragically passed away 4 and a half years ago. He was a leader in the classroom, athletic field, and just in every day life. His peers looked up to and admired him greatly. He has positively impacted so many people's lives and has left a legacy that we will continue to grow and keep alive. Personally, he was like a little brother to me. Nate's brother, Mike, is one of my closest and best friends. Some of my favorite memories growing up were with the whole Ferraco family; whether it be world cup watch parties, playing hand soccer in the house and accidentally breaking multiple picture frames and getting yelled at, the long car rides to tournaments that Nate would almost always tag along to watch us play, to even randomly going to family reunions. Those are the memories I'll cherish forever. 

          In closing; I challenge each of you to set your own goal for yourself to achieve in the month of September in Nate's honor. I would love for you to share it on your social media so we can all support and motivate each other. My personal challenge/goal is to ride 400 miles on my bike through out the whole month. I will track my progress on the Strava App and give updates weekly. On the side, I will juggle a soccer ball 10 consecutive times every morning before my ride in honor of his number. If you're not feeling motivated, I want you to picture and hear Nate's distinct, raspy voice cheering you on and motivating you every single day. I know that that will get me through any challenge!
