Nate's Leukemia Battle

In late January, this family received the shocking news that Nathan was diagnosed with Leukemia. No family should ever have to absorb this news and immediately go into "what do we do now" mode. Nate and Jessalyn are no exception. Until then, Nate's biggest challenge was an AP test or learning drive. Now he faces a bigger challenge and with the support of his mom, family, friends, and the community, he is prepared and already battling it. The community, school district, sports teams, and local businesses have already been eager to support but the reality is that this journey has truly just begun.

The goal of this Go Fund Me is to help raise financial support for Nate and Jessalyn as they move along his treatment journey. Cancer is unthinkable and when you add the cost of treatment to the equation people find themselves fighting two battles.

Nate is determined to win this fight and is doing well through his first few weeks of treatment. No, he doesn't have his long hair looking back at him in the mirror anymore. No, he hasn't been able to go to school which he would love to do every day. And yes, there have already been some side effects. But all that said, he continues to show a quiet strength and resolve that should give all of us confidence that he will do exactly what he told his mom on day 1... "I'm gonna beat this."
