Nate achieve his dream with the Okotoks Dawgs

Hello, my name is Vikki Hallihan and my son is Nate Hallihan. Nate is one of the youngest baseball players to be recruited to attend a Baseball school in Alberta and be part of the Okatok Dawgs. I know this is not a gofundmepage for an illness or help with a pets surgery but it is a page from a mom who desperately needs and wants to try and get her son to this school.

Nate is a very talented baseball player who has been giving it his all for 4 years. He has been working alongside Matt Stairs for the past 2 years and was just contacted by the school to have him attend in September. The problem is, his dad and I cannot afford the whole price tag to send him out there this year. His dad doesn’t have a full time job, and I work 2 jobs just trying to keep our home afloat. We are asking for any donation, big or small to put towards the money we can scrape together to help our son’s dreams come true. It is quite a costly tuition( $12000), so hoping this little go fund me will help with a little bit of the way. We are applying for all the grants as fast as we can, unfortunately September isn’t far away and won’t have them accepted or denied for awhile. We do have some family that can help, however my mom is terminally ill with breast cancer so my parents funds are tied up with her medications to keep her alive.

I hate the fact that I have to do this, but I’m a mom who wants the best for my child, and despise the fact that we can’t send him due to finances.

Anything big or small will help this 15 year old young man who has big aspirations and dreams of making it to the big leagues and the fact that this school sees it in him, only makes me believe he can do it.
