Natasha's Journey: From Stroke to Strength

Hey hey ya’ll! Terry Lee here.. as most of y'all may know me.
I’ve made this GoFund me for my oldest daughter, Natasha.. who has had major obstacles thrown her way in the last few years. Most recently, my baby girl suffered a stroke (a little over 2 weeks ago) and was in the ICU for quite some time. Thankfully she made it on time and was able to receive TNK in order to restore majority of her function. She experienced right sided paralysis, confusion, disorientation, muscle weakness, slower thought processes. Sadly, this is her SECOND stroke in the last 4 years (her first one was May of 2021). Although she may be walking around like she’s fine, this ordeal combined with her previous mental health issues that have gotten worst throughout the last 4 years, have made it extremely difficult for her to get out of bed and function.
Now if you know my daughter, she is a fighter. She is one of the most resilient people I know. I have seen her (and been by her side) through Hurricane Katrina, having a child at 19 years old, putting herself through 4 years of nursing school to achieve her BSN - magna cum laude.. all while having a child (my grand-baby) and working full time. She has had a two level lumbar spinal fusion - right in the middle of nursing school.. she became an RN 5 months before COVID shut the world down… and while everyone else was at home with their families, my daughter had to work 16 hour shifts 4-5 days a week and come home to no one (to keep us and her patients safe). It took a major toll on her, but she pushed through. Then she lost her grandfather a month later. Then the family dog. Then her other dog. And her other dog. In between all of that, she suffered her first stroke, tragically lost her best friend to a motorcycle accident, and lost her job. She continued to push on. Natasha is a mental health RN and she is damn good at her job. Her patients have always loved her and she has given so much of herself to everyone else… so much so that she’s forgotten about herself. It’s difficult to share this, but she gave me consent, my first born tried to take her own life this past March. Because she felt like she couldn’t catch up on bills, was failing as a mother, a daughter, a nurse.. all because she was struggling to function. I believe all of this has led to this last stroke. And she’s only 37 years old with no history of hypertension, a blood clotting disorder, nothing. I do 100% believe it’s stress that has taken a toll on my baby. And sadly, a lot of it has to do with finances. I want so badly to give her a fresh start so she can start to feel motivated again… to feel loved and worthy. It’s not about the money for her. It’s about her ability to care for her child who just graduated form HS and got accepted to NYU… I know that if we can all come together to support her, she can get back on her feet and get the help she truly needs to be the Natasha she is meant to be. She has spent so many years filling everyone else’s cup, it’s time we start to fill hers.
thank you in advance for any help yall are able to offer. I know Natasha will appreciate every single one of you.
