Natasha has to undergo a double mastectomy/oopherectomy.

We're hoping to raise enough funds to cover her deductible and living expenses for the month that she will be at home recovering. She's a public school music teacher and will be unable to work during her recovery month. She posted this on Facebook.

"This year I found out that I carry the BRCA 2 genetic mutation, which puts me at a much higher risk for breast and ovarian cancer. After lots of conversations with my doctors, I’ve decided to take the preventative step of having a double mastectomy and ovarian removal.

It’s a big journey ahead, but I’m choosing hope and health. So this birthday is going to be a little different. My amazing friends are putting together a birthday fundraiser to help me cover the medical costs"
