Natalie's Healing Journey

Hi there!

My name is Annabeth and I am Natalie's partner in all ways.

Natalie is an incredible woman who has served thousand of people through out her life as she is a mother, partner and an incredible chef. She has served her community for over thirty years.

On Dec. 17th she had a hip replacement. All was going well and she was progressing quickly. In the early morning of Dec. 26th she got up to head to the rest room. Stood up too quickly and fell. Her new hip took the full weight of the fall.

Since then she has had a second surgery, called a revision surgery, requiring a longer rod put in for stability and wires wrapped around the top of her femur to hold the, break together, she also had many tears of muscles that needed repair. She can not put any weight on her foot for six weeks (that will be Feb. 8th). She is currently in Highland Care Center receiving lots of physical therapy. It has been a very hard transition into this care facility. She has not had the best experience there and we are trying our best to make the most of it and get her home safely. She has many challenges in front of her but we both believe she will come back better and stronger than before.

In the mean time, I am coordinating as much as I can while keeping our business going with the help of our talented team of friends and family.

We are anticipating many expenses going forward. Some we know about going forward and some I know I can't even imagine. (We do have good insurance and we are so grateful. We are looking at anticipating our deductible and expenses not covered under insurance.)

We ask that if you feel so inclined to help this is ONE of the ways we will need help going forward. We only ask if that is not and will not be a burden to you.
