Natalie's Summer with Opera NEO

Dear Friends and Family,
My name is Natalie Lewis and I am currently in my junior year at The University of Massachusetts: Amherst completing my music degree in Vocal Performance.
My dream of being a professional opera singer is well on its way and I thank you all so much for your love and support over the last few years. 2019 brought many opportunities for me, most notably my summer abroad in Graz, Austria. As a part of the American Institute for Music Studies' (AIMS) opera studio I received an invaluable education; taking part in masterclasses with Helene Schneiderman and Linda Watson, receiving weekly coachings, lessons, acting classes, and intensive german language classes. I also performed twice with the stunning AIMS festival orchestra.
This summer I've been given a similar opportunity with Opera NEO in San Diego, California. Opera NEO has been praised by Classical Singers Magazine for bringing "a unique perspective to the array of young artist training opportunities" and for being "a resource for the next wave of opera professionals." After a selective audition process I was cast in their Main Stage production of Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) by Mozart as the Third Lady. Along with performing this role I will be learning and covering the role of Martha in their production of Gounod's Faust and perform in select scenes from opera and musical theater. On top of all of this I will also get additional group and one-on-one training in the form of masterclasses, voice lessons, coachings, movement classes, and seminars. The tuition for this program is $3800. Although I have received a generous scholarship from Opera NEO the remaining tuition cost, plus the cost of food, travel, and other incidentals is still well outside of my means.
I am asking for your help to raise $2000, which will cover the remaining costs of this program and afford me this amazing performing and learning opportunity. Please consider donating
