Our beautiful Natalie is about to face her 3rd fight with brain cancer since being diagnosed 3 years ago.
Natalie was originally diagnosed in November 2020 with anaplastic ependymoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor with a high chance of relapse.
After enduring surgery and 33 rounds of radiation treatment Natalie had clear scans for 1 year before relapsing with a second tumor in March of 2022. Surgery to remove the new tumor, more radiation and this time adding chemotherapy helped Natalie remain stable for 18 months.
Natalie’s December 2023 scan confirmed her cancer growing once again.
The plan, for now, is to get Natalie to a facility that has intra-operative MRI technology to get her the best chance of removing ALL of the tumor.
Clinical trials are also on the table but will require a great deal of traveling to either Boston or Georgia. Other treatment options closer to home may also be a possibility.
Right now the focus is on getting Natalie the best care possible for surgery and hoping the path forward regarding further treatment becomes more clear in the coming weeks and months.

We wish more than anything that we didn’t need to be asking for your help again and that Natalie could be happy and healthy without having to worry about cancer ever again. She truly is the sweetest, kindest little 6 year old you could ever meet. She is just pure love and sunshine and deserves to have a long beautiful life and we are going to do everything possible to make that happen for her.
