Please help our heartbroken and widowed 71 year old father.

On January 11 my beloved and amazing mother passed away. She was an intelligent and kind woman who sacrificed so much for her family. She was such a hard worker, at the age of 70 working up until the second to last day before her passing. She endured 2 decades of graveyard shifts as a waitress but always made it on time to take us to school in the morning, not realizing the toll that nightshift work does to the body. During that same time she also took on the role of apartment manager of our apartment building that we lived in. Although underpaid, she held on to the role because she felt security knowing that only she held the apartment keys and therefore our overnight safety wasn’t compromised. Because of her kindness, multiple families were welcomed to the apartment complex when others had rejected them. Her sacrifice funded her children’s education. Although my sibling and I are expensing her post-life wishes, we need help to support our widowed, elderly, and heartbroken father. He lost his life partner and wife of 48 years. Their loyalty and love for each other is truly admirable and beautiful. They worked together for 30+ years up until the very end. Witnessing his heartbreak is devastating. Unfortunately my mother’s passing presents a financial hardship for our dad and we’d hate to see him immediately return to work out of necessity at the age of 71 and with his overworked and diseased knees. His social security income is not enough to support his basic living needs. Any donations would help him humanely take the time to heal and for us three to figure out a plan for our equally kind and devoted father. Thank you for making it this far and learning about the beautiful soul my mom was on this earth.
