Marty Tungate's Stroke Fund
Donation protected
As most of you know Marty suffered a large left brain stroke on Saturday, February 14, resulting in fluent aphasia. He has been at University of Michigan hospital since. He is coming home tomorrow. His recovery has came quite a long way in the past week and a half. He is very strong physically, suffered no paralysis and is very mobile. He has some speech, memory, and cognitive issues he is working hard to resolve in therapy. He will have a daily regiment of Occupational and Speech Therapies at Chelsea beginning next week. We're hoping this aggressive program will accelerate his revovery! We are so thankful for all the kind words, thoughts, and help that is pouring in. He has the most wonderful friends! We have assessed how much he will need to cover his lost wages (they are reduced while he is on disability) and his extra expenses with his insurance copays for each therapy appt, deductibles and prescriptions. We are also looking into a Spaghetti Dinner fund raiser in March. All the funds donated on GoFundMe will go directly into his bank account and his sister, Kathy Reilly is handling his financial affiars until he is able to again.
Thank you kindly for your consideration of support for Marty during his recovery.
