Please help raise money so that our locked out neighbors at National Grid can send their kids back to school with the proper school supplies!!
After months of contentious bargaining, the Gas Workers contract expired at midnight on June 24, and National Grid refused to let employees in the next day. These workers have been out of work for over a month now with no salary, and no health benefits.
In May, National Grid reported a 24 percent annual increase in profit before locking the gates on their workers.
When the company halted the workers’ health insurance July 1 as a result of the lockout, entire families lost their coverage, leaving some of them in precarious positions.
