Naslund Disaster Fund

On Thursday May 19th at approximately 8:30 am Miles & Joan Naslund awoke to a nightmare no family should face. FIRE Joan heard their dog, Foxy barking, which was something she never ever did. Joan went out to see what was going on only to be met with some smoke. As she turned around the corner of the entry she saw fire shooting out of their garage. She ran back into the house to wake Miles, get her purse, some medication & grab the phone to call 911. Just before the fire department arrived their house started on fire. There was nothing they could do but watch as all their belongs were being destroyed by the fire. They lost everything ... EVERYTHING

Now the fire isn't the only thing my mom & her husband are dealing with. Just over a month ago Miles was diagnosed with cancer. They had spent 23 days in Rochester at the Mayo going thru some pretty serious health issues & had just got home 3 days before this nightmare of a fire broke out. Either one of these life situations can throw a person for a loop BUT both of these issues at the same time is way to much to deal with.

My hope is to help raise some money not only to find a new place for them to live but also help with medical expenses, as Miles will now be going through chemo & radiation treatments. There will be many dr appointments & time away from work. Any amount will be very much appreciated & if you are unable to donate a share & a prayer are just as much needed.
