Nasia is my beautiful 22 year old cousin who is currently on life support at Victoria General Hospital. Doctors have given her a 50-50 chance as of this morning.

A few days ago Nasia traveled to Victoria with her boyfriend. She hadn’t mentioned feeling unwell that morning, however, when she arrived in town she passed out. She was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with the flu. Within just a few hours, she was placed in a medically induced coma. Only 3 hours after, the hospital called her mother to let her know that Nasia had been put on life support. They are unable to transfer her to any Vancouver area hospital due to the lack of space.

Nasia’s mom, Tasha, lives in Surrey BC and has worked hard her whole life. She sacrificed a lot to try to give her children a better life than she had. She doesn’t have a lot and what she does have, she willingly gives to help others. Today, Tasha needs our help. She needs to go to Victoria to be with her daughter. She doesn’t have anywhere to stay or anyone to help out in Victoria, so we are organizing a hotel and meals for her. We don’t know how long she will need to be on the Island with her daughter. Our hope is to raise enough to help Tasha stay by her daughter’s bedside until she can come home to Surrey. Please consider helping this mom be with her daughter.
