Nash's Surgery Fund: Your Help Matters

We recently found out that Nashville aka Nash needs surgery on both of his cranial cruciate ligaments aka ligament in knee of back leg. At a minimum this will cost us between $7,000-$14,000. Nash isn’t just a dog to us, he’s our best friend and very important member of our family. We would do anything to make sure he leads a happy, healthy and long life. While we’d love time to save up for this expense, the timing of the surgery is urgent. If the injury is left untreated, permanent and irreversible arthritis and scar tissue can form around the joint, making surgery unsuccessful.

Unfortunately, the timing isn’t great. Not only is our first child due in 2 months but we recently suffered a financial loss. For those of you that don’t know, I am a correction officer for NYS. I was recently out on medical leave. Due to the recent strike my employer refused to honor my FMLA leave or medical documentation justifying my leave of absence. They not only took 3 weeks pay from me, but also cancelled my health insurance. At 7 months pregnant with a high risk pregnancy, the loss of health insurance was a huge and dangerous hit for us. We are struggling to get caught up with regular bills and living expenses and just don’t have the money for this surgery.

As much as it kills my pride to do this, we are asking for donations to help cover the cost of this surgery. We hate to see Nash in pain and not living life to its fullest. Any and all help, no matter how large or small is greatly appreciated. We sincerely thank you all in advance ♥️
