Hi friends, family and community members,

Last Friday, Oct. 27th we received the news that our Sheiks had begun her journey home. Our parents received that knock on the door that every parent dreads, the knock they will never forget. Nasheika’s three children got the news that their mother had passed on to the next life, the news that these kiddos shouldn’t have had to be hearing, especially this early on.

Although she lived a tough life and navigated some of the most difficult waters, Nasheika loved and was/is loved by many. Despite the struggles she had, she showed up in this world with the most beautiful soul and the goofiest personality, something we will forever be grateful for. Her smile and laugh, her dance moves, and her awkward self could brighten the room on any given day and I don’t think we reminded her of that enough.

As Nasheika starts her journey home, we come to the community for support. Our parents are the hardest working people, and they have ALWAYS given their last dollar to ensure us kids had everything we needed, and more. During times like this, nobody but especially our parents, should have to decide between grieving and making ends meet. We come to you, our friends and family and our community to ask for your support as we figure out how to process and grieve. We ask that you give, unconditionally.

Your help will first go to funeral expenses, followed by giving my parents a grace period and cushion to not have to rush back to work. Beyond that, the remaining contributions will be put into trust accounts for Payson, Austyn and Hayven, Nasheika’s greatest pride and joy.

Please consider giving during these tough times. If you would like your donation to go to Payson, Austyn and Hayven specifically, make a note of that and we will ensure that is what your support goes to.

Thank you for your love and support, our family is forever grateful.

Services: We will be meeting with the funeral home today (Oct. 30th) to plan and pick a day this week for Nasheika's services. As of right now, we are planning for either Thursday, Nov. 2nd or Friday, Nov. 3rd. Once we are back from the funeral home this afternoon, I will update this information with a set date and time.
