Nash Robert Memorial

Nash Robert was born on October 16th to parents Taylor and Jarit.  While it was a wonderful and joyous moment to welcome their fourth child into the world, it came with concerns.  5 weeks prior, it was discovered that Nash had a mass in his brain.  Consulting with an expert in pediatric neurosurgery, they were hopeful that the mass could be removed and Nash would make a full recovery.  A first postpartum MRI showed the mass as it had appeared on previous scans and a surgical plan was put in place.

Nash was transferred to another facility, with all of the necessary resources for the surgery and recovery.  Prior to surgery, a second MRI was completed that showed the mass had grown to nearly 3 times its original size and was more involved.  The neurosurgeon was more nervous, but confident in the original plan if they proceeded with the surgery the next day.  Wanting to give their newborn the best opportunity at the best life, they agreed with the assessment.

After the longest 6 hours possible, and after receiving multiple units of blood, Nash came through the surgery.  And as he stated, the surgeon removed all of the mass.  Unfortunately, it was determined that the mass was cancerous.  Over the weekend, Nash had multiple complications, but the expertise of the medical team, and his own bravery and strength kept him fighting hard through it all.  Ultimately he was not able to overcome so many hurdles.  Nash was held in his parents' loving arms as they said goodbye.

In his 12 days, Nash was the bravest and strongest baby possible.  If it was something he could have beat, there is no doubt he would have. If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever.

His parents made a promise to Nash to give his brothers the best possible lives, in his honor.

This is where we are reaching out to you.  The unfortunate reality is that the medical bills will still arrive.  We are asking for your help in removing at least one stressor from a horrible situation in order to help Taylor and Jarit keep their promise to Max(9), Jack(3), and Cade(1).  If you find it in your heart to donate any amount available to help cover those expenses, it would be truly and greatly appreciated.
