Narrative Film Fundraiser for Recyclos

Recyclos

When the last human on earth and a robot are brought together, they discover what it truly means to “be alive.”

Recyclos is an 18-minute, narrative short film that follows Poppy, the only “real human” left in existence, who runs a robot recycling facility. At “Recyclos” she takes robots at the end of their lives and transforms them into fully fleshed humans. Robots were created to help heal nature and restore peace to a world left in shambles by human destruction and overconsumption. At Recyclos, robots-turned-human have a second chance to experience life and all the wonders it has to offer. When Poppy meets Banjo, the world continues to grow a little more beautiful and little more kind.

Why We Are Telling This Story
Recyclos was inspired by the overflowing love and continuous encouragement of the writer’s parents. To have people in your life that value your growth and challenge you to reach further than you ever dreamed is what makes our relationships with others all the more precious. Recyclos hopes to encapsulate that warmth. This film’s production has also sought to place Women and Non-binary people in more leadership positions (Writer, Director, Cinematographer, and Producer). Recyclos advocates for the collaborative efforts of a community of artists -- where everyone is seen, heard, and appreciated.
