I am Narmeen Al-Najar from Gaza, a mother of five children. I lived a very difficult life before the war, and since October 7, the tragedy has increased. The Israeli occupation asked us to leave our place of residence and they destroyed our house. We have been displaced fifteen times and now we live in a tent that is not suitable for human life. It has no electricity, no water, and no good bedding. In the winter, it rains on my children while we are inside it, and we feel the bitter cold. My children go long distances to fill gallons of water. They have left their studies, they walk in the street without shoes or heavy clothes, they feel hungry, everything is expensive. We have not eaten meat for 4 months, and we cannot obtain vegetables and fruits. I cook water with a little lentils, it's breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no bread, no vegetables, no fruit, no meat, and no refrigerator. In addition, one of the family members suffers from chronic diseases and cannot obtain treatment.
