Narcizo Wildland Firefighter Injury Support
Donation protected
Dear people who want to help, thank you for reading this. We write to you on behalf of Inbound, wildland firefighter contractors based in Oakridge, Oregon. On Sunday, August 30, Narcizo Villanueva-Torres, a longtime trusted crewmember and 'father' of our fire family, was hit by a tree while working the White River Fire in Wasco County, central Oregon https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/7013/ . Narcizo, 60 years old, sustained severe injuries, including T3 & T4 compression fractures as well as his upper sternum. He & his wife Liz are anchors for their large extended family. He has workers compensation, but his injuries will require MONTHS of physical therapy and his family relies on him for support. He is in stable condition at the trauma unit at OHSU (Portland) right now. This man is not only one of our own at Inbound, but he is a constant source of strength to those around him, a respected & beloved member of the crew since 2012. He has dedicated over 35 years fighting wildland fires across the nation. Narcizo is a very humble and private man but has agreed to accept support and especially your prayers, and we thank you for reading this. In the crew picture he is front row, second from the left. Any and all support is greatly appreciated.
