Hi my Naomi Glowacki. I am 17 years old and an aspiring athletic trainer. This means I am working in the heat for long hours at sporting events. I was recently diagnosed with a form of POTS. Which causes me to have fainting episodes which are exacerbated by the heat. It is hard for me to know when a fainting episode is on the rise. A cardiac alert service dog would be trained to alert me when I am about to faint so I can move to a safe position and spot so I do not injure myself.
My parents can not help cover the financial expenses which leaves me to raise money to fund this myself. I am working a full time sports medicine internship that is unpaid.
I have made the decision to adopt and train my own dog. But I can’t do it without the help of the community. I need to pay the adoption fee of the dog and the fee of the cardiac alert service dog training course. I also need to cover the expenses for equipment like vests, patches, and leashes. As well as food and training treats.
Any small donation means the world to me so I can safely continue to do what I love and be able to help others while also ensuring my safety at work. Any prayers would also mean the world to me.
