We didn’t really expect to be writing another one of these… but here we are again, humble and very grateful.

For those who supported Naomi last year, thank you. It truly meant more than you know and played a big part in helping her get to this point.

Naomi’s story has always been one of passion, perseverance, and dreams that reach a little further than what feels realistic.

Back in 2020, she discovered water polo by chance in a neighbour’s pool. What started as something fun combined with a steady commitment to getting better quickly turned into something much more.

Since then, it’s been early mornings, late-night practices, and a steady commitment to getting better. Balancing life as a student athlete isn’t easy, but she’s found a way to manage school, training, and everything in between with a level of discipline that continues to impress us.

Whether it was 6am wake-ups, long days at school, or putting in extra work when no one’s watching, she’s stayed consistent.

Her goals have always been big: Team Ontario, National Team, competing at the University or College level, and one day representing Canada on the Olympic stage.

This year, that journey has taken another step forward.

Naomi has now been selected to represent Canada on the 16U Girls National Team at the World Championships this coming July in Croatia, competing on a world stage against some of the best athletes in her age group.

That’s something we’re still trying to wrap our heads around.

As parents, you watch your child work toward something and hope it leads somewhere but representing your country and competing internationally is a different level. It’s something we don’t take lightly, and we’re incredibly proud of her.

What hasn’t changed is who she is.

Naomi is disciplined and driven, but also full of energy, positivity, and heart. She brings people together, lifts others up, and still finds a way to enjoy the process. She works hard, stays grounded, and just keeps going.

With an opportunity like this comes significant costs. Travel, training camps, and international competition expenses.

We understand that times are tight for many, and asking for support is not something we take lightly. As parents, you want to see your child’s hard work open doors, not close them. We never want to be in a position where we’re standing in the way of her dreams, that’s why we’re asking for a bit of help again.
