Naomi’s First Steps

Naomi is 5 years old and was diagnosed with the rare syndrome called CTNNB1 when she was just 18 months old. Currently there are just about 400 people worldwide with this diagnosis. This syndrome plays a huge part in developmental delays, cognitive abilities, speech, behavior, physical capabilities and eyesight. Naomi is currently unable to walk, stand independently, eat with a utensil, and is challenged by many of the easy tasks we are capable of doing daily. Naomi has been in physical, occupational and speech therapy since she was 9 months old. She has worked so hard to get to where she is today and with that, has made incredible progress!

 Naomi received exciting news recently, that she got accepted into another the 3 week intensive program with Napa Therapy! Napa is a world-renowned pediatric therapy center that is tough to get into. With this incredible opportunity, comes a huge price tag as this therapy program is out of state and most insurances do not cover the program. Naomi has been evaluated and approved for 4 hours of therapy each day for 3 weeks. This includes, DMI therapy, neuro suit therapy, physical therapy as well as speech therapy. With gas to drive from Florida to Illinois, hotels, food, taking 3 weeks off of work and the program itself (which can range from $8,000 out of pocket to the full expense of $40,000).


We are kindly asking for donations to help send Naomi to Napa Therapy and other incredible intensive therapy programs. Even a share of this post will help get Naomi one step closer to her dreams and goals of walking on her own!
