Naomi Montilla was a beloved and talented art teacher at Riverdale Elementary. She passed away tragically and suddenly on May 6, 2026. Naomi was an integral part of the school and her students adored her. Her friends and family are devastated by her sudden passing. She radiated warmth and optimism and has left a huge void in her absence.
Naomi dedicated her life to inspiring creativity in her students and building a welcoming classroom where every child felt seen and valued. Her passion for art and education touched countless lives, and her legacy will live on through the many students she mentored and encouraged. Outside of school, Naomi was a devoted friend and animal lover, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.
All funds will be administered by Liza Santiago to help cover funeral and medical expenses incurred as a result of Naomi's death. The funds will also go toward the care of Naomi's two dogs, who were like family to Naomi. Your support will help ease this financial burden during this incredibly difficult time.
As we navigate this heartbreaking time, any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the stress during this difficult period and allow the community to give Naomi the peaceful and dignified farewell she deserves.
