Elaine Arruda, 26 years old, is a missionary at Shores of Grace in Recife, Brazil. The heart  of this ministry is to rescue women and children from sex-trafficking and abuse. As a Holy Spirit inspired and gifted artist, Elaine draws children and women to see them set free. She is experienced in missions, having been on a mission trip to Mozambique at Iris Global, she helped with women’s craftworks and made the drawings for the published work “Sandcastles and Skyscrapers” from Jake Hamilton’s book.

“It´s amazing when we have street church, because I can paint with the street kids and the homeless. They paint their dreams; some of them will draw a house and/or family. They give us the pictures afterwards so we can pray for them, because they want to realize their dreams. Sometimes, I just draw their faces and smiles with their dreams around them. Then they are so happy, because they can see what God created them to be. A picture is worth a thousand words! Too often, these precious ones are so high on shoe glue, that they cannot speak, but draw.

It is so incredible what God does through art. I love to create the invitations for our special night Banquet for girls in prostitution. Every month the girls come and have dinner with us. Each  month I draw something for the invitations. Every card is so special. The girls say that when they look at the picture, they know God loves them so much and that He makes everything new. It is so wonderful to see how art brings freedom.”

Amazing New Second YEAR 

The first time I heard about BSSM (Bethel Supernatural School Mission) I was 16 years old, when Bill Johnson was the teacher at Youth Power Invasion in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2008.
He shared about BSSM and it captured my heart , but at that time I  did not have the support to go. So, I had this dream in my heart and prayed about it for a long time.
I grew up and studied import and export business. About 5 years ago I went to Mozambique for a short mission trip and 4 years ago I moved to Recife to be part of the team at Shores working with children and arts.
My mentors, Nic and Rachael Billman gave me direction to study at BSSM. Afterwards, I will return to teach arts to our Brazilian kids.

My First year at Bethel was amazing, I had great time with Lord at School, Bethel Church, Comunities and Azuza (misson trip). 

Now I have been accept to second year, amazing great student I accepted before gradutation.
