Nansie - Documentary on Dementia

NANSIE
Learning to swim at 84 years of age is not a common endeavour. And, learning to swim at 84 with dementia is unheard of. This is the challenge that sisters Adelaide (23) and Lucinda (21) are embarking on with their Nana Ann.
We have started filming our feature documentary, exploring the misunderstandings of dementia, challenging the stigma surrounding the disease and showcasing the power of humour and vulnerability embedded in this intergenerational relationship.
But we need your help to finish it. By donating to this project, you will be supporting two young women who are doing their best to keep their Nana’s life exciting and interesting now that she has been diagnosed with the disease. By capturing this raw and authentic portrayal of dementia, we also hope to illustrate the immeasurable impact Nana Ann has on so many and ultimately, inspire those who are willing, to embrace life at any age.
The money raised will entirely go towards filming and post production costs.
This film will be showcased in many festivals from December 2023.
Directed by Anna Trichet, Director and Producer of the award winning documentaries; Save This Shark, Save This Rhino: South Africa and Save This Rhino: India, this is a film by young women, for the young and old, and everyone in between.
