The original screenplay for this dark humour disaster story with a deep psychological / emotional undercurrent and a miraculous uplifting twist at the end had been written about 2009 / 2010 and was meant to be read like a novel back then. Published on Amazon and Lulu.

One reason it was done this way was the notion that people increasingly lost the ability to read any text at all (or books as it were). Internet and podcasts and visual overdoses are mainly to blame, I guess. The reality of movies, though, is that the screenplay is de-facto the movie at the end of the day. The anecdote about Stanley Kubrick answering a student on how to make a good first movie is telling: "Just write one good screenplay" LOL.

The second reason was obviously money. I used to tell people that movies are a screenplay with a budget. The budget was traditionally needed for getting a good director on board (unless the writer can do this themselves), while the second important thing in my view are a director of photography and a production designer. Then comes all the rest (actors, marketing, post production, infrastructure, ...).

So by reading a 'naked' screenplay 'proper', the readers themselves become 'creative'. They're the directors and actors, the camera person, designer and sound guy. That's what good fiction writing has always been able to accomplish. People are actively creating worlds in their heads. They're all different. That was the power of good stories well told. Essentially, from this vantage point, no money was ever needed to create movies (or games, even). Only pencil and paper.

Now, I've been watching closely how AI video generation has been developing over the past two years. From character inconsistencies to clumsy and too slick environments and physics at the beginning - at lightning speed it has reached a stage where the images and character renditions look and sound so convincing, that creating blockbuster movies on a shoestring isn't some flight of fancy anymore. It has become absolute unalterable Reality.

I'd say most people following the tech woke up to this reality with OpenAI Sora a few months ago and by the time when Google Veo3 came out (only a couple of weeks ago now), other companies as well have finally attained this competitive state. Both serious character driven movies, as well as unbelievably expensive blockbusters can now be created by only one single person in a bedroom - through the incredible power of generative AI. The only costs are render credits (plus the living expenses of the guy committing his time to pull this off).

BOTTOM LINE: This project is now being turned into a real movie and the present GoFundMe is one of the avenues that money is being raised for this. Feel free to download the pitching Leporello and distribute it. This and the accompanying screenplay-sample booklet can be download from this DROPBOX or on my 'digital ID': linktr.ee/reinhard_schleining or requested through my 'mail box': t.me/reinhard_schleining

If you want to accelerate seeing this truly groundbreaking and timely work 'materialize' then do consider chipping in (isn't the nanotech transhumanist bioengineering internet-of-bodies agenda amongst the most censored topics that most people aren't at all clear about?). Every contribution over € 100,- will be credited at the end of the finished movie.
