Nanna Love’s Health Fundraiser

Hi all,

 

I’m Lisa Gillespie the Shero/ Leader of Black Girls Do Bike NYC. I’ve never done this for this group but now and moving forward I feel we need to.

 

Nanna Love’ s name is really Yolanda. However, Nanna Love totally suits her and we all call her by it. To meet her and to spend time with her is to see why that name suits her. She’s kind, fun, active, encouraging and is just that great chick you want to hang out with. To know her is to love her.

 

Nanna LOVES cycling. Like the rest of us it gives her life. She was already leading rides but stepped it up even further to learn bike mechanic skills, help train new riders and recently became one of our first trained ride leaders!

 

She a strong rider and person and has always been there for this group. I mean she makes almost every ride! So now is the time for us to be there with her as she conquers breast cancer. We are seeking to raise money for a trainer she she can safely ride at home while she recovers as well as help cover some other expenses. Please donate whatever you can to help get our sister back on the road with us!
