For those who know me and Honor, Nani is a big part of our little Ohana over here on Oahu. She is probably one of the most loved and spoiled dogs on this island. As of July 5th, Nani has been hospitalized and diagnosed with leptospirosis and is having a really tough time taking to antibiotics. Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection found in standing water or steams. She most likely picked it up on one of our many hikes with her. Right now her liver and kidneys are failing as a result of the infection but we are hoping the antibiotics will kick in soon to help counteract this. Even after the bacterial infection is gone, there will be a couple weeks of recovery until her organs have recovered from the damage. As of now, her hospital bills are over $3000 After just buying a house and putting deposits down for our wedding we are a little tight on cash. I normally never do something like this, but any help would be greatly appreciated in helping us with the hospital bills. All proceeds will go towards the medical bills to help Nani recover so she can get back on the trails with us and be the ring barer in our wedding. We love her so much and will do anything we can to help her in these hard times. Anything helps, even if it's prayers and warm thoughts coming our way would really help us in a sad time.
