Nancy's story

This is a sad story about a wonderful lady. Nancy Marchand worked in the hospitality industry for many years and absolutely had the personality for it. As a young woman she married and had a daughter. The marriage did not last, and sadly she also lost the only child her teenage daughter to cancer. Both of her parents have long passed as well. All of this leaving Nancy pretty much alone and struggling in this world. Towards the end, and for quite a few years, she had lost most everything and found herself homeless. Because she always continued to work, she managed to buy a van and pay it off in payments. She gradually fixed the inside of it until it became her cozy little home on wheels. Obviously having to move it a lot to find a safe place to park and sleep. In spite of all of this, those that knew her never noticed what was her life. My description of her would be quirky, happy, funny, silly, fun loving, just crazy enough to make it attractive, lots of jewelry, multiple colors on her hair at the same time that changed frequently, pockets always full of candy that she constantly passed out to everyone she encountered, simply loving life, but most importantly a heart of gold. On April 7th. of this year Nancy was found in her van in a shopping center parking lot. God had apparently called her home the day before. The worst part of this is that her body remains unclaimed in the coroner's office. I for one am not satisfied with such an ending to this story and can speak for many others of our coworkers that absolutely agree. There exists a decent place for Nancy to be lay to rest together with her daughter which was what she wished would happen. The obstacles to overcome will be numerous as the paperwork was in a storage Nancy kept along with her mother's ashes, which has since been lost. Donating to her cause to help change this to the happy ending Nancy deserves and fulfill her last wishes, I am confident will bring you countless blessings.....
