Nancy's Bone Marrow Transplant

Donation protected
In 2010 Nancy Youssef found a very symbolic 'Tree of Life' that has been hanging proudly in her bedroom since she and her sisters found this at the Sylvania Art Fair.

In 2015 she developed a very rare bone marrow cancer called CMML. It's a very aggressive leukemia with no known treatment options. Remission is always only temporary. The only cure is a bone marrow transplant, using Donor bone marrow, called an Allogenic transplant. Fortunately for her, she has two sibling 100% matches. Her sister Sharee and brother Rick. Sharee is going to do the heavy lifting, offering to be the donor.

Nancy had been in a clinical trial with Cleveland Clinic for the last 11 months. It was decided this was not working and there is a need to move ahead forward with the bone marrow transplant.   She has been undergoing chemotherapy the past 3 months to get herself in a "remission like state" and has remained extremely positive throughout everything always looking at the bright side (losing a few pounds, daily chats with the nurses, and spending additional time with Tim).

With the bone marrow transplant, Nancy will be in the hospital at the Cleveland Ohio for 4-6 weeks while her husband stays in a local hotel. During that time they will be giving her very strong chemotherapy to take her to near-death, with the goal of zero red blood cells, zero white blood cells and zero platelets, as well as the killing all the cancer cells in her bone marrow. Once that's achieved, Nancy will be given her Donors bone marrow and we pray it graphs and she starts growing her sisters cells. It takes about 10-28 days for the cells to Graph (start growing)

This is a very dangerous time for her with very questionable survival.

After Nancy gets out of the hospital, she is required to stay within 50 miles of Cleveland Clinic needing 24/7 care for 100 days or more. Her husband, Tim Ringle will not be able to work during this period, as he is Nancys primary care provider, with her sisters as back up. Nancy will be staying in the Cleveland Clinic Transplant house.

Nancy is going to take her 'Tree of Life' to Cleveland clinic and the transplant house and hang it on the wall.

If you have a desire to help, a small prayer would be most appreciated.  If you feel in your heart that you would like to donate towards a night for them at the transplant house (which is $75 a night) and be part of Nancy's recovery, this would be very helpful.

Anyone donating will have there name placed on one of the leaves so Nancy can get inspiration from just seeing the love and support.

The best looking sick woman!
