Climb for the American Dream
Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
On Thursday, October 6 at 3 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, I reached the summit of the world’s highest freestanding mountain – Kilimanjaro.
My climb was an amazing experience … and much harder than I had imagined. I trekked in rain, hail and snow, but I remained focused on my goal. I thought of our Broward College students, who also experience circumstances that could easily derail most people. But our students are determined to change their lives through the pursuit of a college education.
Thanks to all of you who supported my American Dream climb. The funds raised through this site will directly support Broward College’s American Dream Scholarship, so our students will have access to the financial support they need to take them to the finish line!American Dream Scholar signing my climbing shirt
