Nancy's Story
How many of you know or have known someone impacted by ALS? Until recently, for many of us, our experience of ALS may have been limited to an ice bucket challenge. But the experience is much closer, and more real now.
Our wonderful, vibrant, adventure-loving friend Nancy was diagnosed with ALS a year ago, after several years searching for an answer to why her body was slowly becoming more limited. Since her diagnosis, Nancy has dedicated herself to learning more about her condition and available treatments, as well as championing the cause for additional research into what is still a very poorly understood disease.
Nancy has been accepted into a new clinical trial, which requires several 3-4 hour drives per month. To help her make these trips independently, and continue to both fight her own ALS and hopefully find answers for those impacted by ALS in the future, Nancy needs an adaptive vehicle. These vehicles are in limited supply, and the entry level cost is $50K.
Please help Nancy get to her treatments and continue living the active, energy-filled life she always has. Nancy's smile lights up a room - help her continue to be able to light up rooms wherever she goes.
