Nancy Voggesser's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Our friend and colleague, Nancy Voggesser, was recently injured in a bad accident. While visiting family in Chicago, Nancy fell on the stairs and broke her leg and knee. The bone was split and due to the depth of damage, her leg required surgery to repair it with a rod and plates. Nancy is still in Chicago until the doctors clear her for travel. Because it is such an extensive injury and is non-weight bearing, Nancy will be unable to work in person for some time. She will be in Chicago for 3-5 weeks working on physical therapy, and then will face months of healing.
Nancy needs our help! She is always caring for others, but now we have a chance to give back to her. She will have increased expenses due to medical bills, as well as the difficulties of transportation and work absence. Please consider providing for these needs!
-Nancy needs a lift chair to work from home and keep her leg supported ($1500).
-Since she can’t stand or move easily, we would like to provide her with a meal delivery plan.
-Nancy will need help with transportation from Chicago (rental vehicle) and help once she returns to Denison.
-Nancy will be working remotely as soon as possible so she can stay involved with her classes at DHS, but she will soon run out of sick days and has obligations she must meet with a limited income due to her injury.
All thoughts, prayers, and gifts are appreciated! If you think of other ways you can help, feel free to reach out. Nancy is still available by email and phone, but we want to make this difficult season as easy as possible for her. Please consider giving generously. Thank you!
