Nancy Sova

Hello,

My name is April Robb and I am Nancy Sova's eldest daughter. I have created this GoFundMe page to help gather funds to help with the sudden loss of my mom, Nancy Sova.

This was a sudden and unexpected loss and we (myself, Colleen Hieb-daughter, and Ron Sova- husband) are looking for help as we work to put together a Memorial service for Nancy and navigate the all the difficulties ahead.

Nancy was most certainly a medical mystery. She had experienced many medical challenges throughout her life, surviving multiple brain surgeries, a brain aneurysm, lung cancer, chronic conditions, etc. We always pulled together as a family during these times and my mom always pulled through in miraculous ways and with such positivity every time.

Sunday (Oct 15, 2023) Nancy went to the hospital for what was diagnosed as cluster headaches (feel free to Google). These are incredibly painful and come on suddenly and with great intensity. The staff at Mercy Hospital were working diligently to treat with high doses of oxygen and various medications. Nancy was even doing exercises her sister, Lynne, mentioned helped her migraines. Things were looking up and on October 18, Ron was going to the hospital fully expecting to take her home only to come upon debilitating situation. During the morning (around 8am), Nancy and gotten up to use the restroom and she suffered a massive stroke with a large amounts of bleeding in the brain. This stroke left her debilitated. Even extraordinary measures would not have given her the quality of life she would have wanted. She was always open about this with Colleen, Ron, and I.

Overnight, in the early morning, of 10.19.2023, Nancy herniated and lost all brain function.

During this time of such sudden and incredible loss we are looking for support financial support in planning her Memorial Service (date to be determined). Any funds we would receive would go directly to funeral/memorial service/cremation costs.
