SCHERER, NANCY PETERSEN
Of Osseo, passed away peacefully at North Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 7, at the age of 88. Preceded in death by parents Alice and Frank Petersen, husband Ken Scherer, brother Frank Petersen Jr. and son Gregg Scherer. Survived by sons Curtis (Gail), Ross(Dedra), Daniel (Kris), sisters Eloise Miller and Mary Working and 6 grandchildren Derek, Ella , Kaylin , Cooper, Deacon and Grace that all made Grandma Nancy very proud.
Nancy graduated from Anoka High School in 1950 and continued on to pursue a teaching degree at SCTC. She taught 3rd grade before becoming a busy mother to 4 boys. Once the boys were all in school, she taught pre-school children for the Anoka District for 20 years.
Nancy was a joy to her family, her extended relatives, her many friends and will be sorely missed. A family service will be held. Memorials preferred to the family to be distributed as scholarships and disabled veterans , in Nancy's name.
Nancy had a passion for education for over 30 years of teaching small children . Her husband Kenny and son Ross and many relatives served in our armed forces . As her wishes in memorial of her she would like to donate to Disabled Vets, have educational scholarships for area schools and Osseo United Methodist church in lieu of flowers
