Nancy - our beloved mum and nanna

Hello,

My name is I-Lu, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support. About 2.5 weeks ago, our cherished mother and nanna, Nancy, was suddenly struck by a brain aneurysm. On the early morning of 17 August 2024, she collapsed and hit her head on the concrete floor.

Since then, Nancy has undergone three major brain surgeries due to severe bleeding and a stroke that has caused life-threatening intracranial pressure on her brain. She has been in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for the past 18 days, fighting for her life. The doctors have warned us that there is a high probability that she may become a vegetable, and that even if she wakes up, she may face paralysis on the left side of her body due to the extensive damage on the right side of her brain. Despite this prognosis, Nancy has been fighting for her life and making progress, however minute it may be. She is not giving up, and neither are we.

Nancy continues to struggle in the ICU, and we are doing everything in our power to support her. Her seven grandchildren, all under the age of six, eagerly await her return. Nancy has always been a loving and selfless person, known for her kindness and willingness to help others despite having little herself.

The unexpected medical expenses and the potential for long-term treatment have placed a tremendous financial burden on our family. So far, we have received several bills totaling approximately $20,000, and we expect more to come as the treatment continues. We are asking for any assistance you can provide during this challenging time. Your generosity and support would mean the world to us and to our beloved Nancy.
