Nancy Duncan has been serving students, families, and friends in the Southside community for over 30 years, and now it's our turn to help her in her time of need! Nancy is awaiting her second kidney transplant, which she will have done at Boston Mass General hospital with a surgeon who specializes in her complex medical situation. After a long medical journey, Nancy has a donor (her precious sister who is ready to fight for her sister's life!), she's completed all of the necessary testing, and she has an expert medical team waiting and ready. It's almost go time!

But, the financial burden of a second kidney transplant, the necessary medicines, and aftercare, not to mention the travel to Boston and and the stay there as she recovers, is crippling. Nancy will need to stay in Boston for around three months as she recovers from surgery, and of course these costs will become exorbident quickly.

While these massive costs would be devastating for any one family, if we ALL come together, we can chip away at the cost little by little and lessen this burden for Nancy and her family so that our friend can focusing on recovering without worrying about the financial stress.

Nancy is a treasured wife, mother, daughter, sister, teacher, friend, church family member----the list goes on and on! To know her is to love her. If you know her, you know she brings laughter, sunshine, kindness, and compassion wherever she goes! She has been supporting our community for decades, even through her own medical journey, and now we can come together and support our precious friend. Let's do this!
