On June 29th my mom was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in her upper right lung. We later discovered that the lung cancer had metastasized and spread to her brain. She is currently scheduled to begin cyber knife radiation treatments to treat the brain cancer. I've relocated to Louisiana to be able to assist with everything hands on, leaving behind my job and putting my dreams on hold. My mom has already battled and conquered breast cancer twice in the past and it is with a heavy heart I reach out to my community to help her defeat cancer once again.
Whatever help you can give will help to offset treatment costs that her insurance doesn’t cover as well as costs for her recovery such as physical therapy and the additional radiation treatments she will need to treat the lung cancer. Please donate what you can to help her win this battle.

In addition to defeating breast cancer twice and struggling with diabetes, she also cared for my dad for 11 years after he suffered from four strokes in 2007, which debilitated him and led to a variety of other health complications. In the summer of 2018 Glen passed away, leaving Nancy alone with their family home. The bank is now threatening foreclosure and the only income she has comes from food stamps and social security. With the income from Glen's social security taken away and her own health preventing her from being able to work, debt has accrued and the house has fallen into disrepair.
Nancy has been through more than most can comprehend in the last few years that has in turn put an immense financial burden on the family. Her care is soon going to transfer to a nursing facility with the hopes of pursuing assisted living should finances and her health allow.
My mother has always been one of the kindest and most caring people I've ever known. She worked tirelessly to provide for me growing up as her only child, as well as taking care of my dad which was a full time job in and of itself. She would never hesitate to open our doors to any friends, family, or animals who were in need. Now it's my turn to give back to her, but I can't do it alone. Nancy has a long road ahead but she is a fighter. Please help lighten the burden that finances places on my family in this extremely hard time.
Whatever help you can give will help to offset treatment costs, provide the resources necessary to settle affairs with the house, and go towards her long term care and needs.
Please help Nancy fight this battle. Show her she is not alone in this.
